Rachel Byrd, CDP – Regional Manager – Lee/Collier Counties
A SWFL native, Rachel Byrd has a B.A. in Sociology from Florida Gulf Coast University and M.A. in Gerontology from the University of South Florida. Rachel is licensed as a Certified Dementia Practitioner, a BC-AAP with the Activity Professionals National Credentialing Center, and CORE certified as an assisted living administrator.
Rachel began her career in 2013 as a server in an independent living dining room. She also worked as a Life Enrichment Assistant in a Memory Care community, and as a Therapeutic Recreation Lead in a skilled nursing community, where her love for working with seniors only grew.
Over the last 5 years, Rachel worked as the Director of Life Enrichment and Director of Sales and Marketing in an assisted living, memory care, and skilled nursing community. Rachel was honored to help seniors choose the place they will spend their golden years. She understands how emotional this decision is for both seniors and their families. She takes great pride in being the guiding light through these transitions and wants to help reduce some of the stress associated with navigating the senior healthcare system as a whole.
Rachel’s grandfather and father both found their lifelong careers in senior communities. As long as Rachel can remember, she has always been immersed in all aspects of senior care. She has over a decade of professional experience in senior living, and nearly 3 decades of personal exposure to senior care. She feels her early exposure really led to developing a love and compassion for seniors.
